SpeakAmerica is an interactive language learning application that allows users to:

- Track learning progress across multiple devices
- Manage personalized vocabulary and lesson history

2. Data Collection (What We Collect)
To provide a personalized experience, we collect specific information through secure channels:
- Authentication Data: When you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture URL to create your account.
- Learning Progress: Your scores, lesson completion status, and favorited vocabulary are stored in our secure cloud database.
- Operational Data: We may collect non-personal device information (model, OS version) to ensure app stability and fix bugs.
3. Permissions We Use
Internet Access
Required to synchronize your progress with our cloud servers and to facilitate the Google Sign-In process.
Microphone / Audio Recording
Used exclusively when you choose to practice speaking. This allows our app to analyze your pronunciation. We do not listen to or record your voice in the background.
Network State
Used to detect if you are connected to the internet so the app can correctly handle cloud synchronization.
4. Cloud Data Storage (Sync)
To ensure your progress is never lost, SpeakAmerica uses Supabase for secure storage. Your data is:
- Stored in a secure, encrypted cloud environment
- Only accessible by you through your Google authenticated account
- Never shared with outside organizations for marketing purposes

We implement strict SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmissions between your device and our servers. Your authentication token is handled securely through Google's official SDKs.
8. User Control & Deletion
You have full control over your data at any time:
- You can view your progress in the app profile
- You can request account deletion by contacting us, which will permanently remove all your records from our cloud database.
- You can revoke app permissions through your Android device settings.
